Re: Amy? (Mtngrl)

Thank you, Traci and Juls. And sorry I've been away.

The brain tumors and/or radiation, plus numb fingers, make it hard for me to see and type. I can read now, though!

I'm not getting very good cancer control. But I feel OK for now.

Love and hugs,

Amy

Re: Amy? (Mtngrl) Leaving us ...

Pray for Amy. Sorry for some sad news.

Her daughter posted on her Facebook page that she is home on hospice and has become unresponsive today.

I could not find a post here by Amy that she ever did get into a new treatment. She contributed so much to this group over her years of facing the cancer beast, giving and helping others so unselfishly.

Her wings are being fitted now and I kiss her from afar.

It’s been a while since I visited here but decided to stop by to check up on everyone. Reading this post about Amy makes me sad and puts some reality in front of me. So sad to read of others suffering. I am so thankful Amy had this place and wonderful friends online to support and encourage her. God Bless you all.

I've been dreading this update. I hope that word can reach her family how important she has been to those who "knew" her through her contributions to this group.

You are all inspirational and informative, my fellow S4 voyagers updates are so looked forward to by me, except of course when it's this kind of news.

StephN S4 since 2002, you are amazing!

My heart hurts for Amy's family. She was an inspiration and a valuable resource to many on this board. She was my virtual friend but a friend no less. She will be missed. I'd be lying if I didn't say I am rattled to my core.

Rest in peace, Amy. You know, now the secrets which await us all on the other side of the veil.

Hi Ariana,

Thanks for mentioning the other ladies who have fairly recently departed. I could add so many more!

They all fought the good fight with their chins up. I am still worried about Michka, who has been absent for a while.

Such sad news. I have known Amy through this forum for about 5 years. During this time, she has been inspirational - always reaching out to others and remarkably stoic about her own situation. Too many women lost...
Thanks for letting us know, Steph, and condolences to all Amy's family and friends.
