Update on Tomo Radiation for me
Just a quick update on the radiation for my superclav icular nodes that were pressing on the brachial plexis nerve....I am OVER HALF WAY DONE!!! Only 10 more to go and 18 behind me...I am still making the daily trip to Chicago, but have it down to a system now, and come home a take a nap for an hour or so. Dont think I will ever get used to the MASK, or the sounds of ants tap dancing while I get radiated....the good news is I am pain free! The nodes are almost gone, and I am sure I dont have a wrinkle left in my face due to the tightness of the mask! With fatigue, a rad burn and a sore throat being the worse side effects, I am just hoping this treatment will keep these nodes in check for a while!

Re: Update on Tomo Radiation for me
Yeah, the mask sucks. I know from brain met experience in 2008. But looks like it's doing the trick. Pain free and shrinking nodules.

Re: Update on Tomo Radiation for me
I just had my mask made yesterday and wanted to thank you for bravely posting the pics of yours. It helped me fully know what they were talking about!
Yay! You're so close to done and doing an amazing job of being able to drive yourself there! |

Re: Update on Tomo Radiation for me
Sheila,
I am so glad you are closer to the end of the rads than the beginning. Thinking about you all the time and doing the fist pump that you will be done with this soon. If I were there I would make you warm tea with honey for your throat. And drive you so you could nap. Hugs, Maureen |
