When Will there be a BCIRG 006 Update?

Hello everyone, I am wondering if any of you know when an update to the BCIRG 006 study will be issued? It is a couple of years now since the last report and there should be more data available. Thanks, Mary Ann

Hi, I'm bumping this up again to see if anyone is aware of an upcoming update to this trial. It is such an important trial for those of us who did TCH. I would like to see what the data looks like two more years out. Mary Ann

I will watch for an update at this year's SABCS when I am there...

I found this article about it from Jan 2007, which is packed with info and here is a quote from DRs Osborne and Slamon about the trials:

Kent Osborne, MD, of Baylor College of Medicine, commented on Dr. Slamon's statement. "I will take this conclusion one step further," he said. "Now there is a question of whether any kind of chemotherapy offers anything to a truly endocrine-responsive tumor. As your curves with all these chemotherapies come together, one wonders if the chemotherapy is adding nothing, and all we are seeing is the effect of Herceptin."
Dr. Slamon responded, "This question is right on target, and is one that we need to ask and answer. I think it will be a challenge to enroll patients in such a trial, but this is the direction in which we now need to go."

I am a new patient of Dr. Osborne's... just started Taxol/Herceptin with him for 12 weeks. Sounds like he is in high demand!

I am a BIG fan of Dr. Osborne! I think he is on the cusp of really important findings... I will definitely be attending everything at SABCS that he is speaking at.
