Well, DUH! was my 1st reaction .... we know that. Of course the psycological and emotion stress also have physical consequences. My 2nd thought is to post this in all the offices and labs where people have control over how quickly we can learn of biopsy and scan results.

Yeah, I have learned that the busier I am, the better I feel when I am waiting for results. Sometimes a Xanax will help too... but I exercise, clean like a mad woman, and organize crap for no reason. It's just how I cope.

YEAH, Pam, that was my first reaction too!

This past wk the office called to give me my skin biopsy results that I had been waiting for for 2 wks. Since I was busy the nurse had left a message. The message was for me to call back for the results and her last sentence was not to worry because the results were good. When I called her back I told her the significance of telling me the results were good rather then leaving it at having me to return the call.

Hi Julierene,

I was reading your sig line, where you list your history...was wondering whether you think Herceptin would have made any difference in your outcome, or not?

I have a similar diagnosis: I had a 2 cm tumor, grade 3, IDC right breast, weakly ER positive, PR negative her2+++. I was started on Taxotere, Carboplatin and Herceptin after I recovered from bilateral mastectomies in Sept. So I JUST finished 4.5 treatments of the TCH regimen and do not want anymore. My onc said 'she feels we have treated the cancer aggressively and I have a good chance of a cure'. ?? I also had negative lymph nodes, as you did. Also negative for vascular space invasion (sounds like star wars :)) So how does this stuff progress if you: (1) remove the breast where the cancer was and all tissue - I had a radical modified mastectomy - and take Herceptin, which is supposed to be the magic bullet?

I realize we are all different, and our diagnoses are not exact.....but I am clearly worried about how much chemo is enough.....you did way more than me and the cancer still returned.
