I read the article and it seems the enzyme that catalizes the formation of 5-Hete from arachodonic acid is called something like Aloxi. The anti asthmatic drug Zileuton CR (brand name Zyflo CR) inhibits this enzyme. They are testing this anti-asthmatic drug on Leukemias but science works slowly. Zyflo CR might be worth trying if you can get a doctor to prescribe it. There are liver enzyme elevations in about 2% of cases so lab montoring with this medication is mandatory.

The enzyme is called Alox-5. Aloxi is an anti chemo nausea drug. Its a long acting Kytril like drug (Blocks Serotonin receptors)
