Who's ready for some good news...?!!

READY FOR SOME GOOD NEWS...? I come bearing gifts.

All good. Fibroid tissue at the juncture of the mesentery (overcoat for the abdomen) where blood vessels enter. Brought on by some inflammatory response.

Pathologist (and surgeon) believe it is benign. Can't be certain till final pathology report (sent frozen sections), but both very optimistic, almost certain. We are beyond elated.

I awoke to hear, suregon, Nurse Kim, Nurse Jayne, saying, You're fine. Inflammatory thing. And -- you can go home! (I'd packed a bag of essentials.) Came home to my 3 pups! They'd seen that bag and asked me, Where are you going? What's happening? I explained I was going to the hospital and I would stay overnight, but I would be fine. Daddy (Paul) would be home later. And Pami, Asher and Ari came to walk them midday.

It was a really rough ride, must say. So much to tell, but I am offering you the icing on the cake! Good news.

All docs had said, reading the report slowly and carefully as I watched, Very strange. I don't know what to make of it. But you have to go in, given your medical history, and take a look around. See what's going on. Take a biopsy. I knew they were right.

My Spirit told me all along, You're fine. You're going to be fine. I will be with you. We'll go through this together... Remember, you are strong and brave. And determined. Miraculous have happened to you before, and this will be just like that.

A mushy mass mess that is nothing.

Hard to hold on to that. Imaginings have their way with you. Fear and uncertainty cannot be denied, but they can be consciously discarded. And believe me, I was just reminded what a difficult accomplishment that is!

You have that power though, my Sisters! Every one of you. I went in with a line in my head that I read Wednesday night (midst my 10+ hr bathroom drama marathon) from the book I'm reading, I WANT TO BE HERE...!!!! I was guided to move forward with Love and Belief. And trust.

Thank you all for your prayers, good vibes, love, Light, wisdom and extraordinary caring! I cherish and love every single one of you!

Andi

For those who haven't seen my -- THE POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS thread, please check it out. It started with the Intention of sharing what I've learned, and somehow become my depository for what occurred with my (now annual) CT scans. Stable chest. Abdomen / pelvis still pending, in process -- and then -- something new is visualized. "Concerning for carcinoid tumor".

My reaction to that stunning news and what the days ahead held is worth a look I think.

Re: Who's ready for some good news...?!!

Amen! Yay!
You made my day!
I knew in my heart this was the news we'd get... but confirmation is always welcome!

As far as the surgeons recognizing benign vs malignant... it's my understanding that the difference is hard to miss. So I'd trust that!

Now, as far as your other thread being "worth a look"...
as an expert on the topic (and president of the AndiBB fan club)... I would go so far as to say that ALL your threads and comments are "worth a look"! :)

Rest well! Hug your puppies... it's been a rough few days for them too!
Denise

Went into the fire, and came out even stronger!

Couldn't wait to tell you all!!!

After surgeon and nurses told me, coming around, gloriously happy -- they saw me doing something. Jayne said to me, What are you doing? Typing?

Yes! I remember now, just now, I was typing out as if sitting at my computer on my keyboard -- I'M FINE!!!!!! AN INFLAMMATORY THING. DON'T KNOW WHY. BENIGN!!! I'M GOING HOME...

Re: Who's ready for some good news...?!!

I went right for bed when I got HOME. A bit unsteady still. (They'd given me the wheelchair limo to the car, my driver helped me up, Ali helped me in to the car. Paul helped me out and to the bed. Those details to come...

Chase and Scampi (our 2 10 yr old Maltese rescues and our baby, Trooper, (the deaf one thate races like the wind, all now 9 lbs of him, and then slows to hop, hop, hop w/his front paws -- Maltese, Jack Russel, jack rabbit and a few other things) immediately got up on the bed with me. Super Trooper took his job very seriously -- licking the 5 places on my hand where they went with IV needles and such. Worked for a good 5 minutes, healing me...

ELLIE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (JUNE 29 -- tomorrow)!! Please take my wishes for Life's best allll year long!

Do you all know that the #13 is my lucky #??? (Given to me by a dear friend in '98 when I had less than a 15% chance of surviving a year. She had a rhinestone #13 made for me -- and told me I was #13, so I was going to fine!!!! She said, I'm older than you, and you have to listen to me! Emphatic! Then the #13 started to instantly show up in my face, in Paul's face everywhere we went.)

Yesterday I looked the lovely bracelet they give each patients with my name, date of birth and barcode. Like I'm a product on the check out line, they just kept asking me about that info -- and scanning the barcode!

At around 11:15 I looked down at my bracelet and noted a long # -- it started with -- 13... Wow. Did I smile. And couldn't wait for Paul to be invited in from the waiting room to the bed I was occupying, hooked up to IV and being tended to. I told him to look at my bracelet. What are the first 2 #s?, I said. He laughed -- 13...!!!!

When they wheeled me in, 2 hrs later, I asked what time it was. No watch, you know. Not jewelry. Greta said, it's 1:20. And then, remembering our conversation from earlier she said, I guess you could say, it's 13:20. THAT WAS IT. ANOTHER SIGN FROM THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!! (I think by 13:33 -- 3 and 333 being my 2nd and 3rd favorite #s -- I was One with the Propofol.

Funny, Paul had the clarity yesterday as he met with me, What is the probability you'll be able to find out if it's benign? That's how my foggy brain remembers it anyway. The doc looked at me, locked eyes, and said, if they know something that fast, it's not what you want to hear. So I let go of waking and being told, We think it's benign. You have to wait to learn that.

It's not yet written in stone, fingers still crossedhttp://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/clip_art/pe...ps/luck2-clip2

Hey, Madam President Denise, didn't I read you were Queen (of de Nile) the other day? So should I call you Prez, or POABBFC (that doesn't really flow does it?)...? You did it again! You made me giggle!! (You and your Micky Mouse laugh button in there...) Your googobbler looks like a happy but intense guy.

Keep weaning, Baby. Feeling better and better and better with each day.

A million thank yous to you all. To: Wolf (Penny), Tricia, Carla, Mary Jo, MA -- XX in TX, Karen, Pinkie, Steph (best Vit H pal), Jackie, Ceesun, Fauxgypsy, Rachael -- you all helped lift me up and carry me through. Wow, those prayers were potent!

Woo hoo!! I am ecstatic for you, Andi. And yes, the power of intentional thought is something we are now beginning to examine how this can change our bodies. Enjoy the weekend.
