New Chemo Cycle and update

Hi all,

Just a little update. I have not posted or replied to anyone lately. Kind of just been stalking the posts for awhile.

I have battled the cellulits infection from my mastectomy and so far have been on the winning side ie: been able to keep my left side expander. Onc says the infection may come back now that I am starting chemo again but I am hoping I defy the odds.
Stopped the Vancomycin 2 weeks ago and just broke out in hives this past weekend that the doctors feel was caused by the Vanco. Starting to clear up now.
Saw the foot doctor about my broken foot and he said he does see some healing so he is opting no surgery right now and keeping me in the walking boot until January to see how things go.
Today I started the next leg of my journey with FEC. Every 3 weeks for 4 months. I felt kind of dizzy and "fuzzy headed" while at infusion but was not worried. Now that I am home I am feeling very nauseous.
Has anyone else taken the FEC regimen and can you tell me what your side effects were? The first chemo regimen I did went fairly well. I only had 2 weeks or so of sickness and really would like to luck out this time too but the other regimen was supposedly easier. (Being Taxol, Herceptin and Lapatinib.)
Thanks for all the advice and support

Geez!
You just can't seem to catch a break!! Although, the walking boot is definitely a step up from the wheelchair! :)

I had cellulitis after my lumpectomy. What a pain! Three weeks of antibiotics, and it pushed the start of chemo back a month. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Sorry you're feeling nauseous! That is the WORST feeling! The best pre-med they gave me was Emend. I think it may be pricey, but I was never, ever even the least bit nauseous. Might be worth asking your onc about.

Anyway, I missed you! Glad you're back! Ironically, I was thinking about you yesterday and was going to send a PM to check on you. Our vibes must have been on the same wavelength!

Denise
