Hello everyone. I'm sorry to have to inform all of you that our sweet Karen passed away on Friday, August 1. I received an e-mail from her husband, Rick, and daughter, Lisa, asking me to make this post. They were unable to log onto the site. They wanted to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude for all of the love and support that you have given Karen. Also, they said that if you have any questions about anything, please feel free to contact them at (401) 359-3133, or (401) 725-3285.

Bill, thanks for posting this. I was just reading her thread today and had the feeling...

Karen was such a wonderful friend to all of us on this site - always fighting so hard for herself while encouraging us in our own situations. She was always so happy when anybody had "good news"...I will miss her so but am glad she is at peace.

My partner and I extend our deepest sympathies to Karen's family. I am sorry to learn of her passing and will miss her posts. I take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and with our other sisters.

Our sadness, but Karen's peace as she is released from this disease. Heavyhearted to read the news about such a special woman--her family and friends must be feeling tremendous pain---sympathy and comfort to them.

Goodbye, sweet Karen. I'll miss your honesty and caring. My heart heart breaks for your Lisa. She's 17 and ready to step into her adult life, armed with all you taught her and gave her of you.
