NHS cancer patients to receive latest and best treatments available
Cancer patients on the National Health Service may soon be offered expensive life extending drugs which are currently denied to them. David Cameron has proposed on behalf of the Conservatives that the drugs that are licensed and prescribed by the health consultant of the patient should be made available to the cancer patient, irrespective of the NHS rationing.

I hope this isn't just an election ploy. Political parties often promise great things to get elected, then once in government these promises disappear usually because they reckon they are too costly.

That article didn't quite make sense to me. What are they cutting to allow for covering the drugs?
They might also drop restrictions on supplements if they want better outcomes for less money. I mean...who are they protecting by banning melatonin? |
