anyone else fail her2+ treatments rather quickly?

When I was first diagnosed, I had all the hope in the world for the herceptin/ perjeta combo I was being put on... it failed two months after the taxotere was dropped.. next, they tried adding navelbine to the herceptin/perjeta and some areas shrunk and others flourished.. finally, I thought kadcyla would do the trick, and it did only for four lousy months.. is this a sign of things to come? Has anyone else tested her2+ more than once, yet failed these new treatments but eventually had something work?

My oncologist used to correct me when I said, "I failed on this..." You didn't fail--it failed you.
It sounds to me like your pathology report could yield some trials for you. Where do you live?
Stay positive. There is always something you can try.

Also, it may not be failing you completely. It is probably taking care of the Her2 part but something else is also in the "go" seat and it is not Her2. The Her2 treatments are still working on the Her2 part. Don't give up hope. Is there a way to test your tumor for other markers - Her1 perhaps or other things. What about trying a PARP inhibitor?

Looks like you have many options right where you are:

Maybe you could discuss with your doctor?
