grapes and black tea natural sources that inhibitor her2

Combination therapy with tetramethoxystilbene and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase inhibitor is effective for killing hormone-resistant breast cancer, according to this SABC article. Natural P3K inhibitor, black tea, and natural stilbene product, grapes ought to have a similar impact.

Robin P--

the cell lines used in these experiments were not her2 amplified or overexpressed

As it says in SOME cases of estrogen resistance growth factor expression is increased, but I am unsure whether you can correlate these experiments with
what would have happened had they tested with BT474 or SKBR 3 (her2+ breast cancer cell lines)where her2 amplification occurs.

Cell lines may or may not maintain the characteristics of the cancer as it behaved in a human body as well--some of these things have been kept in petri dishes for many years (perhaps decades) and mutations may have occured to adapt to the unusual enviroment!

Thanks, Lani, for your comments. I know that you and others have posted on the benefit of black tea blocking the PI3K pathway, an obvious favored pathway of HER2 as it phosphorlates, and this article ties into that a bit and grabbed my attention, unlike other abstracts at the SABC this year.
