tumor markers

Hi to all! I see many talking about tumor markers. My onc said that there isn't
a marker for my cancer--ER/PR-andHer2+++. Had LRM on 9-18-05 with SNB+and 24nodes taken and 3+. What test is this?

There are 2 marker tests used. CA 27/29 is newer. An older marker that is used is CA 15/3. Your Primary care physician can draw your blood and send it off to a lab to measure these for you. If you have pain for longer than 2-3 weeks and it is getting harder to control that pain, you should have it checked out asap to rule out anything - could be you broke a rib or have something unrelated to cancer that needs to be dealt with.
