hello

I dont know if there are many caregivers out there, but I could really use some support. My partner, is very sick, she is now home with our daughter and I, and it is very hard, I just hate to see her so sick and tired all the time.
she can barely walk at this point. I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there feeling the same. I would love to hear from you. Thanks, Jen

Re: hello

Hang in there, I am not a caregiver now, but was a caregiver to my husband who had lung cancer. I now have breast cancer and am managing on my own so far.

It's hard to watch someone you love, and you will get tired, frustrated and angry. Just try to remember to get rest for yourself. You can't do anything to help when you are exhausted.
If is not easy, but look for any bright spots you can. Good Luck

Re: hello

my mom had breast cancer 3 yrs ago and no uterine cancer that metastized to her abdomen. This is so very hard. I am trying to be strong for her, make every meal, do her laundry and cater to all her needs. She is my best friend and the best mom ever. I also have a little girl that I have to tend to. It is so hard to see my mom suffer. But what I do is pray a lot with positivity and faith, make her feel as good as possible by reading to her, talking to her, give her massages and praying with her. I cook her favorite things and just try to make her feel as comfortable as possible. God will give you the strength!
