Laurie7 has died
 

This member joined the board about the same time time I did. She was only 31 in 2006 when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. RIP, Laurie.

Laurie A. Fiumefreddo, 43, of Pingree Grove, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
She was born March 7, 1974 in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of Eugene T. and Patricia E. (Dropp) Litzau. She grew up in Hoffman Estates and graduated from William Fremd High School in Palatine. Then went on to attend cosmetology school. She married Philip Fiumefreddo on January 11, 2006. The couple made their home in Pingree Grove where they raised their family and she worked as a hair stylist. Family and friends were very important to Laurie, she enjoyed crafts, gardening, country music and time at the beach. Laurie always had a positive impact on everyone she met, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Phil, her daughter, Alyssa Adams, son, Alex Fiumefreddo and son, Steven Fiumefreddo, her parents, Patricia (Gene) Litzau all of Pingree Grove, her sister, Carrie (Chris) Dudek of Yorkville, her brother, Ron (Jen) Litzau of Elgin, two nephews, Ryan and Caden, her niece, Kayla and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. and the family will greet friends after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26th at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. I didn’t know Laurie, but I’m very sorry to hear that she’s passed away at such a young age. My condolences go out to her family. It’s so sad.

Damn, hate reading another loss on this board. My sincere condolences to Laurie's family and friends. She is soaring with all our beautiful angels we lost from this dreaded disease
