Tomorrow is my last Herceptin
Hello all,
Amazing that a year of treatment has already gone by. I have my last infusion of Herceptin tomorrow. This morning I passed a colonoscopy with flying colors after a concern about finding the "C" word. I have never been so delighted to be diagnosed with internal hemorhoids! I feel strange transitioning from a cancer patient to follow-up visits as a cancer survivor. Wish me luck! 'lizbeth |
Good luck 'lizbeth. I am one year out from my last Herceptin - it's a great feeling.

Congratulations! You are graduating into a new realm that you will feel uncomfortable with at first but it will start to fit you just fine.
I finished a late start on Herceptin almost 3 yrs ago and most of us here understand how nervous it is to cut those apron strings. Yea for you. |
Lizbeth,
You made it. Congratulations. Joan |
Congrats Lizbeth. It will be starnge at first, BUT you finally get used to not having treatments any more. Like some have said the apron strings are now cut.

congrats on finishing your year of Herceptin! I felt strange (still do!) not to be having any treatments, but as more and more time goes by I find that I don't think about it as often! Sometimes even a whole day goes by and I forget all about cancer!!!

It does feel strange, I know, but it will feel more "normal" with some time. Congratulations.

Yes time does fly. Glad to hear of your completion of the big 'H' and the transition to more normalcy. Remember though, every day we fight this fight we are a survivor!! Now we will be sharing more wonderful transitions and anniversaries with you to come. Keep up fighting the good fight.>>Believe51
