The Power of Steam

I know you can get carried away with going "green", but I just got this little steamer kit last week and have to report on it.

This steam cleaner is incredible!! I used it to clean all the hard water deposits off the shower heads (no CLR), scrub out all the gook in the floor tile (no bleach), totally disinfect the toilets, sinks, cleaned the stovetop, steamed the couch. It can also clean the BBQ grill, kill dust mites on your mattress and clean the boat and the car- haven't got that much energy yet. It was particularly good for our shower- as the shower has natural stone and I can't use anything but vinegar in there and that wasn't cutting it.

Just wanted to let you all know there is a way to clean well without all the chemicals. I had never heard of steam cleaners until my sister mentioned them.

Margerie, I've heard that's a great way to clean without all the harsh chemicals. I'm so glad you reported on it because now I would feel good about spending the money. I watched a info-commercial on a steam cleaner one night...it sure did make it look like it cleaned everything...and rather easily. :) I hate alot of the nasty chemicals we have to use to clean...if I can avoid most of them this way it works for me. :) Thanks for the info on this...I am seriously going to get one.

Hey Little Lady....

I cleaned with steam over the weekend and thought of you all the time I was doing it. I actually visualized that the steam was chemo and was blasting those mets to oblivion. Kinda made cleaning fun that day!!>>Believe51

The caution that I have read, (I have parrots and their lungs are very sensitive) is to make sure you use in a well ventilated area, and wear a mask. It puts a lot of "stuff" into the air. Remove pets and children from the area being cleaned.
