An interesting viewpoint on very low fat diets.

I found this on a diet site whilst looking for information on fats.

It is an interesting article, and sits well with the arguments for balancing the omega threes and six. It points to a possible role for limted saturated fats competing in the eicosanoid fat pathways so reducing the impact of too much omega six, and raising interesting question as to the role of fats in food absorbtion.

The issues of the raising of live stock and the fact that the content of livestock reflects what they eat remains- eg high grains intake will distrub their fat ratio - hormones - antibiotics etc.

A wide ranging diet plenty of greens some pulses a little grain plenty of fish ( and fatty fish) small amounts of saturated fats from various sources including diary (if not otherwise a problem) would seem to be the way forward.
