worried about mom...

Dear her2 sisters,

It's been 3+ years since mom had surgery on stage 3 her2 er+ pr+ bc.

She's been having shortness of breath, wheezing and occasional coughing during the last week. There also appeared a lump between her neck and sternum. We are going to the dr today. We are trying to keep calm, but inside I'm really worried.

Did anyone have anything like this? I would appreciate anything you can share. Thank you!

Yours,
belle

Dear Juanita,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply! Dr's said it's most likely goiter, which seems to have the symptoms I described. Mom also seems to feel her left breast to be a bit dense. Her last mammography was in January. We decided to stay vigillant and just observe if any changes occur. I'm wondering if goiter could be caused from Femara she's been taking for 3 years... Anyway, more relieved now. Goiter is OK:-/

Bella, once we have been affected by cancer it is always hard to remember that OTHER things can happen that are not associated with it! That is a natural reaction. But I try to not worry too much until I have been officially told to worry!
Keep the faith.

I have a Goiter too. I had it before I found my BC. I had it biopsied in February. It was fine. Hope your mom is feeling better.
