Home from surgery

Hello all,

I am back from yesterday's surgery.

They kept me overnight as I had a reaction to 3 different antibiotics.

And normally the princess of pee - I couldn't go! Isn't that too funny. The oncology nurse was showing another nurse how to access my port and I was trying to wait patiently. I think the hours of focus of having to try to go shifted to not be able to go & then I went.

It's just one adventure after another with breast cancer!

Hi 'Lizbeth,

Great to know the op is over and I hope you have a quick recovery.
I had a similar problem after my ooph also, did manage it eventually but the nurse said if I did'nt I could'nt go home. That did the trick:)

I'm happy you're home now 'Lizbeth - hope the "twins" behaved themselves! Do you have a drain now in that breast? More than anything I dread that I'll have to get a drain, yuck!

Glad things went reasonably well and you are home. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Swimangel,

I did end up with a drain. I keep getting the darn tubing caught. It might come out tomorrow.

I only had the right "twin" worked on. That would be Danny DeVito. Arnold Schwarzennegger will be downsized and lifted in about 6 months.

Danny is looking really perky. Best of all the doctor took out that ugly skin paddle and now it will be more like a breast lift scar. I don't have a nipple on that side. The doctor will add it after Arnie is settled from the next surgery.

I'm a happy camper.

And a happy camper you have every right to be!! I chuckled as I read this update from you. Tell the twins I said hello (lol) and please keep that wonderful spirit up. Good for you.>>Believe51

Swimangel,

I got that pesky drain out today.

I am doing really good. Just a little tired.

I can't get over how much better everything looks. These plastic surgeons really can work miracles.

Glad to hear you are home where you can rest and enjoy the privacy a "pee queen" deserves. I hope you just continue to feel better and better!

Believe51,

It is so nice of you to check on me. I'm doing just great.
Having 4 hours of surgery really had me dragging my tail feathers, however my energy levels are starting to return to normal.

My plastic surgeon fixed my puppy dog ears from the stomach incision with the TRAM. The last few days they have been very itchy. They still have the steri strips and my skin just hates any kind of adhesive. I'll be so happy when the strips come off.
