Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
Rough day today.
I was starting to feel like Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree, sprinkling hair every time I moved or breathed. It was time to let it go. My strength doesn't lie in my hair, I am not Sampson. Shed some hair, shed some tears ---it was even harder this time than the first. In the end, I choose to smile---I will live. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320...905/tZmLwD.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320...903/Qs9VJy.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320...908/ID9ZSV.jpg http://http://imagizer.imageshack.us...905/tZmLwD.jpg https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater |

Hang in there. Have some fun with it. Think about getting a henna crown tattoo. :)
Keeping you in my thoughts Lisa |

Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
So sorry you had a rough day today. I'm sure it was hard to lose your hair, again. Glad you found your strength and decided smile. You WILL live. Might have some fun with the henna tattoos, wigs, or hats. The hair will grow back.
Take care, Brenda |
Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
I'm sorry you had a rough day but I'm glad you're choosing to smile . . . and to live. I know it's tough losing your hair and I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that again. Cancer sucks! (sending cyber hugs)

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this again but you sound like you're ready for the fight, hair loss can be upsetting but glad you're holding your sense of humour.:)

Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
You have a gorgeous head. So smooth. No lumps or bumps. Goes with your gorgeous face and smile. You have a good attitude which is hard the second time around but both the hair and NED will return quickly.
Big hug from me. Kisses too. |
Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
You're so beautiful. What a dynamic smile! With that face, who needs hair. I'm going to spend a little extra on make-up in preparation for losing my hair in a few weeks. Yippee :)

You are beautiful, your smile says it all :)

Love your attitude! Get ear muffs and warm hats for the winter.

Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
You look lovely. I've only lost my hair once so far but as soon as it started to fall out in clumps I went straight to my hairdresser and had her shave my head. Bought some cute wigs, but have to say I really kind of found it cool to be bald, at least for awhile. The wigs made m head itch :-)

Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
It is so hard to loose your hair. No, you are not Samson, that said, among other things, hair allows us to move freely in life without every person knowing "our business". When I was bald, I wore more makeup and jewelry, and mostly wore silk scarves that I hand painted. Then when cold, I switched to knit caps. Now I see there are caps with bangs and pony tail hair, which is probably more comfy than a full wig. Either way, it is hard to loose (all) hair. I tried to think of it as evidence that all cancer cells were falling out, too.

You look lovely - with and/or without hair!
You have a nice head shape - the type the Chinese refer to as the 'Longevity God's head'. Hang in there. I'm sending you good vibes. |

Tracy,
You look great - keep smiling. Remember what YOU said - your strength is not in your hair. That is powerful. Pam |
Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
Tracy, it sucks that you are having to go through this all again.
But what everyone else has said is true. You ARE strong ... and you are beautiful, hair or no hair! We are all thinking of you and rooting for you every day. And don't feel like you can't vent. You certainly can and this is the place!! We are here for you. I wish I could come visit you in Maine and binge watch a bunch of whatever movies/tv shows you wanted to watch for a week. And eat chocolate and popcorn. <3 Carol Ann |
Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
You do have a beautiful head.
Like you, I couldn't hack dribbling clumps of hair all over the place. Mine came out FAST. It was a relief to get rid of what little I had left. Hang in there. I'm rooting for you, Baldy to Baldy. Since I was Stage IV at diagnosis I figured I might need the wigs, scarves, and caps, so I kept them. I knit, and a hat doesn't take long, so I've got quite a few. I only wear a wig when I want to have camouflage and not be transmitting that "I have cancer" message. Oh, and for my driver's license picture. God willing, I'll have that for a long time after my real hair grows back. Amy |
Re: Bad Hair Day, No Hair Day: Tears and Smiles
Hi Tracy,
Wishing you strength as you go through these rounds of treatment. I don't blame you for not wanting to go through all of this a second time. Please know that we are here cheering you on. Hang in there and know that it will be over sooner than it feels like right now. I agree with the others: you are beautiful and you are strong. I also agree that this is a very good, safe place to growl and vent. Hugs, Catherine |
