Liposuction reconstruction after lumpectomy

Has anyone had liposuction to refill their breast after a lumpectomy? I had to have two lumpectomies as they didn't get all the cancer the first time, so I lost half of my breast. I prefer to use my own fat to fill the breast back out, but want to know more about it such as side effects after the procedure, long term results, etc. This seems to be the most natural way to reconstruct the breast, but there seems to be so little information about it.

Re: Liposuction reconstruction after lumpectomy

I had liposuction for a section of my breast after a mastectomy/reconstruction. One of the implants didn't "fit" as well as the other. Had it twice because the first time it didn't take.

It did not hurt in the breast but where the took the fat from (belly/hips) hurt big time because that's where they take the fat from with the canula (?). Go on youtube to see the procedure. My breast plastic surgeon did it, NOT my breast surgeon.

Thanks, jaykay, I will look on youtube for the procedure. I am waiting for an appointment with a Plastic Surgeon.
