Scans Good!

My onc called tonight, my brain MRI was CLEAR, and the CT showed no new activity just the same spots we've been fighting. I am very relieved, as I've been off chemo for almost a month.
I start Abraxane tomorrow, and Tykerb as soon as the paperwork is finished being processed...Will keep you posted but just wanted to share our good news about the scans :)

Lolly, What wonderful news. I am so happy for you. :) That must of been a major relief after getting the GOOD news. Nothing like clean scans on top of a chemo break! Thanks for sharing your good news.

May only good things continue to come your way. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Great news Lolly. Are you getting the Abraxane weekly? San Antonio presentations had shown this is the most effective way to receive this drug and it is extremely effective. I am sure you will do fine as you are a warrior woman!!!

The ONE

Let's pray hard that Abraxane is going to be the ONE to boot the cancer out of those stubborn nodes. And thank goodness there is nothing new to battle!

It worked for my friend who had been fighting two or three stubborn nodes as long as you have. It was hard on her as she had never had a taxane before, and they added Avastin after a while for about 5 rounds and she is clear now for 6 months so far. (She had to stop Herceptin to get the Avastin.) She is also hormone positive and had the Femara as well for many years, which, along with Herceptin, kept things stable as they were.

You will have to be careful with your blood counts now.
