Found this link at e-How after taking down the previously posted one. Just thought it is an important subject having been mistaken as a hypochondriac all my life...

Note in the Tips & Warnings area it includes the following:

"Remember that it's hard to distinguish between legitimate health problems and imaginary ailments. Don't automatically assume the hypochondriac is making their symptoms up. Assess each episode with a critical eye."

Jackie, good post...sounds much like good old fashioned kindness to me along with some consideration for the person.
