Happy Chinese New Year, Year of the Dragon, we will be having dim sum, pushing our red envelopes far into the lion's mouth next Sunday without fail in NYC's Chinatown, under a veil of glitterati, silly string and to the thump of sidewalk-shaking drums!

Happy New Year !! I don't know if this is correct but in Hawaii we say Kung Hee Fat Choi to our Chinese friends.
There have been Chinese New Year celebrations every weekend this month in Chinatown in Honolulu.
I am going out for some Jai (my favorite Chinese New Year food) and other Chinese New Year foods with friends later this month.

Thanks for the "second" New Year's wishes, Jackie.

I do recall going to Chinese New Year celebrations in NYC china town in 1879 and 1980 when I lived there. Nearly got my eardrum burst by a firecracker someone threw at my feet from a passing car on Mott Street.

I saw a man with a HUGE rocket yesterday. An Asian family with all sort of things in their car including folding chairs, I guess to go watch their rocket bring in the New Year.
