The use of Aspirin as a cancer treatment makes sense. One Caveat. Dont self medicate without the doctors knowledge. Asprinin reduced fever. If you are on any drug that lowers
the neutrophil count you could get an infection that could be very serious and Aspirin and any other NSAID drug (Ibuprofen, Naprosyn etc) could block the bodies natural fever reaction. Supposedly Naprosyn wont do this but I wouldnt take a chance. Chemo drugs like Cytoxan and Adriamycin do this (neurtopenia) routinely. Not sure about Herceptin, Kadcyla and Perjeta. Probably can but with a lower incidence than strict chemo drugs like Adriamycin and Cytoxan (Gemzar etc) Paul |
