HerStory Programs
I've received a few invites from Genentech regarding an educational program. The invite doesn't really say what it is. Learn from an Oncology Specialist, Listen to the story of HerStory Ambassador.
Has anyone been to one of these things? Is it just a marketing ploy or really worth the investment of time? |
Re: HerStory Programs
I'm not familiar with that specific program. But I have met a person who does that type of work, possibly for Genentch.
It sounds like a mini once day support group where you hear from someone on the science/medical side, and then hear a "survivor" talk about her experience. I think it is NOT a marketing ploy, although you would probably hear stuff about Herceptin and possibly about other Genentech products in the pipeline, but more in the context of "here's what we've got going on for Her2 cancer". All that is just my guess but I think it's probably a good guess. Is there a number you can call to find out more about what it is? Then you can decide whether it is worth the investment of time for you. |
Re: HerStory Programs
Genetech has developed their own website a couple of years back. I remember Joe was consulted on the building of the 'community'. I might have written my own story back then for the 'HERStory'. Seems several of our new members have found 'us' through the Genetech website:
