CT scan clear 26 months NED after liver met

Hi everyone
I just got the results of my liver/abdo/pelvis CT scan today..all clear again!

I had one liver spot (15 mm ) 26 months ago when I had a recurrence in the breast.
I have been on herceptin since but am having a 2 month break at present.

Hi Jackie,

Wonderful news. Congratulations and wish you remain NED forever. Did the liver met disappeared by just being on Herceptin? Would you be able to share your history?

Thanks,
Julie

Great to hear from you, NED & Jackie -
And glad you are able to take a short Herceptin Holiday. How did you decide to do that??

I took a 3 month break beginning of this year and all has been well so far. No signs of the ugly beast getting in under the radar. Not that I want a permanant vacation from the infusion suite, but may take another short break in a few months if all is well and family stress level is low.

Just have to keep after this cancer in as many ways as possible!

answers to Julie and Steph

Hi again
In answer to your questions; I had 6 tx of taxol and herceptin (3 weeks apart) when I had my dx of liver spot. It had disappeared by first scan 9 weeks later.
I decided to have a break from herceptin because I travel 3.5 hrs to get there every 3 weeks and I just needed a break. Previously I have gone 6 weeks between tx 2 times and often my tx would be 3.5 or 4 wks apart due to my other commitments. Also I had a serum her 2 test in Jan when I was in London and it was 7; well below normal and that was 6 wks after herceptin.
I am moving to Melbourne in 2 months time for a variety of reasons but one of the main ones is to shorten my travel time to 5 minutes.

Health wise I am a big omega 3 oils and flaxseed muffin girl and take co-enzyme Q10, olive leaf extract and reishi extract.

Cheers
