Birth control pills may increase risk for breast cancer
Women who recently used birth control pills containing high-dose estrogen and a few other formulations had an increased risk for breast cancer, whereas women using some other formulations did not, according to data published in Cancer Research, a journal of the American Association for Cancer Research.

I started taking birth control pills after the threee infertility treatments in the late 90's left me with three uterine fibroids. Three years later (2003), I was found to have breast cancer. When I informed my gynecologist over the phone, he immediately told me to stop taking the 'pill'. |
