Olive oil again!

I'm finding the whole olive oil thing a bit confusing! I always use organic cold pressed unfiltered extra virgin olive oil (in dark bottle), thinking it is high in Omga 3 but today found a bottle of first cold pressed extra virgin italian olive oil with nutritional value on bottle and was shocked to see per 100ml polyunsaturates 8g of which alpha linolenic (omega3) .6g and linoleic (omega 6) 7.4g. This was a much higher ratio than I would have expected.
Maybe it's just me but would like some input.

Thanks
Morgan

Good question, Morgan. I have just checked all three bottles of high quality olive oil in my cupboard and none of them has the nutrition info to that detail.
One is from Williams-Sonoma and the other two are from small wine properties in Provence and Tuscany (that I get from a wine supplier, not usually found in stores).

Where I am trying to balance my omega 3, 6 and 9 is more by taking flax oil and buying eggs high in omega3 (more expensive). Also by cutting out the pre-processed food items and "junk" foods.

The olive oil has other properties that have been shown to work in downregulating our HER2 cancer activity. This may be where you got confused.

Others will chime in I am sure.

P.S. Whoops - forgot to mention eating some delicious WILD salmon at least twice a week (for bumping up the omega 3). It is a little pricy, but you can find frozen portions in some of the grocery stores that bake up nicely.
