hoping for more good news
Hema had her PET/CT contrast on the 27th.Her appointment with the Onc was scheduled for 2nd July.Once we returned home there was a call from the Onc's secretary informing us that the Onc wanted to see Hema on the 28th.The report had not yet come to us and I got scared. But when we went to the Onc he called up the Radiologist and said that there was overall progress with the treatment of Tykerb and Xeloda and there was no trace in the left breast. But he had wantd to see Hema to work out the possibilities of her getting signed up for the TDM 1 trial which is going on here.He had wanted to see her to get her clearance!!! But the other part is that her reports are good and whether Roche will enroll her,We are hoping for the good news.
Best of luck to all of you |

Pibikay,
That is wonderful news and you both deserve it so MUCH! I've been on T-DM1 for seven months, and I don't think you are removed from it as long as it works. I am tickled that things are moving in the right direction!! Warmly, Karen |

This is certainly very good news. All the best on T DM1 !!
I am happy for you both. |
Re: hoping for more good news
Yes, on most studies TDM1 is continued as long as the patient is benefitting.
I hope Hema can get access to this drug - it is a great step forward in treating Her2 cancer. |
