Ixempra Countdown

April 1st Will Be My 6th Ixempra Treatment. I Have Been Tired, Getting Over A Cold. This Chemo Has Been Very Tolerable. I Think Back To A/C----Slept My Life Away, Taxotere----Tearing Eyes, Tired, Herceptin---No Real Problems But What A Let Down To Have Reoccurence 9 Months Into Herceptin. I Felt Like Herceptin Was Going To Be My Lifeline Back To A Normal Life. I Truly Feel That Ixempra Has Worked For Me. I Believe My Ct Will Come Out Well, Not Feeling That Sense Of Dread. I Think Once I Kick This Cold, I Will Bounce Right Back. Tykerb Will Be The Next Chapter.

Ixempra Showed A 50% Reduction In My Enlarged Lymph Nodes In My Pelvis & Abdomen After Just 3 Treatments And Next Week Will Hopefully Be My Final Treatment And I Do Feel This Chemo Has Worked, I Hope Those Of You Starting Ixempra Or May Have It In Your Future Feel Encouraged, I Know Some Chemo's Side Effects Are Pretty Tough, I Just Hope Others Find Ixempra As Tolerable As I Have.

Sheila,

That's great news the Ixempra is working for you. It is especially encouraging for me since I just had my first infusion of Ixempra today. I'm getting it every three weeks and I'm also on Tykerb/Xeloda. I hope I have as good of results as you. Congratulations to you.

Sheila, that is so encouraging to know you're feeling positive as you head down the home stretch. How long after the last treatment before scans, or do you know yet?

Great news, Sheila! It's so encouraging that the Ixempra has done so well for you and the side effects tolerable. You stay strong and drink alot of water and get some rest and get rid of that cold, too. Thoughts and prayers, sweetie, Bill

Today Was Ixempra Number 6, I Am Feeling Fine---Finally Got Over That Cold. Next Week On Tuesday I Will Go For Ct Scans & A Pet Scan. I Have Never Had A Pet Scan. Then On That Friday I Will Meet With My Oncologists. The Next Two Days I Will Be Getting My Shots---Neulasta & Neupigon---I Plan To Camp Out On The Couch A Few Days.

I Will Post When I Find Out Something. I Really Want A Break From I.V. Chemo.
