Help—need opinions

My CT scan last week shows multiple mets in liver and lungs. Largest met in liver is 2cm and in lung 1 cm. Also have significant inguinal lymph nodes affected. Have been on Tykerb alone for 15 mths but stopped when PET scan showed sights and just started xeloda. What are my options?
Thanks
Adrien

Try Herceptin with another chemo - Navelbine or Gemzar for example.

Adrien, seems like you have a lot of options to choose from. Other chemos, combos with herceptin, trial drugs like DM1. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Lots of good suggestions, there are many options. I'm wondering why you would not include a her2 targeting agent (herceptin or tykerb) in whatever regimen you select. Even when the cancer "escapes" the herceptin or tykerb alone, there can still be synergy when a chemo is added to it.

Thank you everyone. It's good to get help from others at this time. I see my Onc on Wed and will take your lists.
Love and best wishes,
Adrien

Hi Adrien,

I had incredible success on Herceptin with Taxotere and Cytoxan. As my tumor markers fell, we removed Cytoxan and then eventually Taxotere.

Good luck! I will be praying for you.
