flu shots for fall
Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anybody has researched flu shots and how they react with all the other meds we take? I plan on starting the conversation with my local onc next week.
I love the way we put our heads together to figure these things out!!! Make it a great day!! Love |
Also wondering if anyone has been getting yearly flu shots while being in cancer treatment? I use to get them every year. I work with over 200 students a day and I would feel safer with the flu shot. Hopefully there won't be any problems mixing all these different meds together.
Thanks |

I have always gotten a flu shot, and gave thousands as a nurse...my chemo center recommends them to all cancer pts., and we get them before anyone else each fall! Now theres a benefit from having cancer...1st in line! |
My doc requires me to get a flu shot every year. I have never had a reaction to it and I have never gotten the flu since being in treatment the last 5 years.
Wonder if they will be ready with a new and improved one this fall? |
I have gotten Flu shot's every year since being Dx'd, even while in treatment. My Onc highly recommends it. I have had the flu 2 times (before getting shot's) and never ever want to get it again.

Thanks Sheila and Brenda for your responses.
Its great we will be first in line!!! Maybe we will get two shots one for the old flu and one for the new flu. |
Thank Vickie, it is good to know the shots worked to keep the flu away. I'm glad we will get shots during treatment

I have always had the flu shot on advice from my
Dr. with no problems. This year I really want to get one and hope they have the new bug in the mix. patb |
