India making more cancer drugs generic
http://www.thedailystar.net/beta2/ne...industry-blow/
This is ongoing news to the fact that India is making the big pharmaceutical companies have a more difficult time having new patents issued for changes in drugs. This has been a standard method in the Us to extend patent coverage, but India has a strong generic group that has a massive say in their government. I work in the pharmaceutical industry and we hear a lot of disparaging comments. I am one of the few that thinks otherwise. |

Re: India making more cancer drugs generic
I, for one, am afraid of generics. Must be because I cannot take so many of them, with ill side effects. For instance, I take Synthroid, but the binders used in the generic Levothyroxine will have me flat in less than three days. Of course, the price of generics is attractive.
The whole idea worries me. I guess for the above reason. Oh, well. It's good to hear from you, Paul, and of course, I am hoping that Nina continues to THRIVE. Karen |
