Keen to hear from long term survivors grade 3 er+

Hi Girls, I'm really keen to hear from any girls who have a similar dx to me. Need to know there is some hope.

Grade 3 Er+/Pr+ Her2 ++
R mastectomy 4/28/14 showing 80mm DCIS, multifocals 5 IDC total of 2.3cm
Margins of 3mm, 2.5 & 0.4mm
Finished AC 4
Taxol+Herceptin for 12 weeks Herceptin to continue for another 9 months

Feeling really scared we don't have the opportunity of Perjeta or Kadcyla here until it's too late & we have mets. The vaccine isn't even in trial stage here.

Hi Gretta,
I am Her2+++ 7.7 on my FISH. I am not PR+ or ER+ - hopefully someone else will also respond. There is always hope. Read, learn and eat well, destress and be positive - there are some amazing women on the boards.
Best wishes
Fern

Re: Keen to hear from long term survivors grade 3 er+

I was diagnosed HER2+++, neg on ER and PR. I have been on Herceptin alone now for almost 5 years now and NED. I was put on the Herceptin in late 2010 due to a local recurrence that was spotted on my scan. My onc is only now encouraging perjeta so as long as you keep getting the Herceptin at least for now you could be just fine. I would just be sure they are doing regular scans to rule out recurrence.
