Finished 6f2 mi bike race
Just finished a 62 mi bike race. I missed the race last year due to chemo. As tired as I got I just tell myself that this is nothing compaired to how I felt last year. So glad to be back on the bike and racing. Have a 12 hour mountain bike race Oct 22, proceeds go to local cancer foundationin my name. The local riding community here has been so supportive of me.
Here's to proving that cancer does not mean the end but a new begining. |

Re: Finished 6f2 mi bike race
I LOVE that - congratulations. I am more of a runner than a biker and have signed up for one of the Race for the Cure 5K's in Nov - 3 weeks after my final chemo. I used to do 1/2 marathons but this little 3 mile race is meaningful and I plan to run it with my 1/2 inch hair do :)
These are the things that remind us we are still alive and are so blessed. Thanks for sharing. |
Re: Finished 6f2 mi bike race
Congratulations on getting back on that bike and racing! I just bought dual sport type of bike and love the freedom of it. I'm a beginner and after riding a bike across the Golden Gate Bridge with my sister, I realized how much I enjoyed it. Have fun on your wheels.
