I have been on weekly taxol/carboplatin/herceptin since 11/07/03 and have not lost my hair yet (although it is a little thinner nothing noticeable). I find the weekly regimen is much easier to handle than the every 3 week one. My first round of chemo was AC & Taxol 4 each every 3 weeks. I lost my hair and suffered awful joint pain from the Taxol. I can honestly tell you I have no joint pain at all this time and I take 30 grams of glutamine powder each day starting the day after treatment (10 grams 3 times a day)for four consecutive days plus 200 mg of B-6 each day. Thus far I suffer no numbness or pain in hands or feet. I hope you will find this easier on you as well. My oncologist has me taking this every week (not 3 on and 4th herceptin only). I have not missed a week yet and have completed 10 treatments so far. Good luck to you and hope this helps out.
