You can't keep telling yourself the I'm going to die story. Cancer isn't a death sentence. To hell w/ stats and experts (w/all due respect )! BE A MIRACLE. Miracles happen. Start seeing yourself as a rare bird, a remarkable story. I'm living with 4th stage bc since 1995. I've known I am HER2+ since 1998. I lived through a mastec, tram flap reconstr, Adria, CMF, Taxotere and 10 yrs of Herceptin. I started less than 2 mnths after it was fast-tracked by the FDA. Been free of tx since 2008. I AM HEALTHY AND WELL. And YOU can be too! I am full of love and joy, gratitude and serenity. KNOW you will survive. Rewrite your destiny. Change your story... Hold on to faith and belief in your empowerment!

Thought by itself has no power.

It is only our belief in a thought that can transform reality.

Just heard a 15 min. video with Kris Carr and DR. KELLY TURNER

about RADICAL REMISSION -- surviving cancer against all odds...
(This is Dr. Kelly Turner's book, which I am going to get and digest one page at a time, one idea at a time.)

Dr. Turner is a research Harvard (schlocky) school degree who has interviewed over a thousand survivors / thrivers and studied their commonalities.

WHAT MADE THESE PEOPLE DEFY ALL ODDS? Read the book to find out!

Both these women wowed me. And you too will have to instantly fall in love with them. Will look for the video to share but in the meantime, the above link is Dr. Turner's website.

She suggests finding an integrative oncologist, a FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE doc. Go to FUNCTIONALMEDICINE.ORG for ideas

Go to SOCIETY FOR INTEGRATIVE ONCOLOGY for more info...

We must raise our immune systems! Half your plate should be fruits and be fruits and veggies. NO meat, wheat, sweet or dairy.

Daily meditation, guided imagery, spiritual practice connecting you with your Spirit. Add mantras.

Supplements to boost your immune system and raise your T cells (which kill off cancer), which support your digestive system and which detoxify your body...!!! Every day.

Within months the results will start to show.

That's the basics. I took notes.

And I HAD to share with y'all, my Sisters...! I was just so excited by the video I had to run right here and post all this...

Love you,

Andi

SOME GOOD NEWS:

This is one hell of a story. Brilliantly discussed and laid out, it encapsulates a complex story of 4th stage breast cancer and the HER2+ factor. I live with these women (on line, on the phone, in emails, on Facebook). I have watched too many who I grew to love fail to respond to the treatment of their time. New treatments keep coming, new discoveries of the enemy are better understood and there is more hope today than ever!

I am blessed to be among the thrivers. I am thankful (on my knees) with each new day. We are witnessing a new age in this battle. So many have lost their lives as research moves forward with each month. I can't believe I lived through it. Don't lose hope, Sisters, and Brothers!!

Re: Got hope? Here's a great story...

thank you for this, andi. my BF read the Radical Remission book and while he thought some of it was kind of really 'out there', he did decide to do several things it mentioned - juicing and some diet changes. he was already taking supplements that were designed for his treatment by an oncology naturopath, lise alschuler. he was gravely ill last march when diagnosed - had 2/3's of his colon removed and had one 9 cm and one 8 cm and multiple other small tumors in his liver. not sure how he was even alive. anyway, the original onco gave him 3 months to live. it's now 11 months later and he is really thriving even as he has chemo every other week. goes to CrossFit 5 days a week (except during chemo) and works full-time. tumors shrank by half in july then half again in november, then stable in january. so he's doing that radical remission thing in the hope of getting more shrinkage if not going NED someday. i guess i should try some of it, but i'm only willing to do *some* things (turmeric, vits D3, B12, C & E) and i am having trouble even decreasing sugar much. :( i told him about you to help boost his hope.

thanks also for that article about the blood tests. odd, i had breast, he has colon, and a dear friend of mine was just diagnosed with endometrial - 3 of the 5 mentioned. i am in remission 6 yrs. i can only hope they will be too someday.
best, valerie
