Herceptin & Lung Problems

Good Morning!

I only have 3 Infusions left of a Herceptin. I haven't had any real problems with the infusions. About a month ago I got a cold from my husband. This was a cold that everyone had for at least three weeks (could have been influenza).

I had an infusion about the 17th of March. I had seen my onc for my one year checkup and mentioned this cold that I had and he listened to my lungs and said there was a bit of a bronchial thing going on, he gave me prescription for a Ventolin inhaler and codeine cough syrup. After my infusion on a March 17th we left the next day on a trip to Arizona (three day car trip). When I arrived here I went to an urgent care place and they did an X-ray of my chest and said I had pneumonia. I am just starting to feel better now. I am due for next infusion when I get back on March 10th.

My question is has anyone else had lung problems while on a Herceptin? I am scared to have another one in case I get pneumonia again.

Thanks for any feedback.

Yes, there are others who's experienced pneumonia and here's an inspiring one: http://her2support.org/vbulletin/sho...ptin+pneumonia

Hope your next infusion go well. Then there will be only 2 more!

Sending you good vibes.
