Paula,

Her2Support has historically sent a contingent of members to the S.A. Breast Cancer conference. I encourage you to contact Sassy or Becky to throw your hat in the ring as being willing to represent us there. It is a fascinating experience, one you will never forget. It was there nearly 2 years ago now where I met and roomed with Brenda Hutchinson, met Chris, Paty, Sheila, Joan, Rhonda (Sassy), Steph, and Christine. You will never be the same again after attending and you will love those gals (or guys) even more deeply after having met them, laughed with them, confessed your fears and received theirs. The memory will bless you for years to come. I cannot encourage you enough to reach out to Rhonda (sassy) or Steph or Becky. I am not certain who is heading it up this year, but you are correct to raise the issue now.

It is painful for many of us to contemplate San Antonio without Brenda being there. She attended every year driving down from Austin. May she rally and be among the group again this year!

Thanks for all the kudos, Laurel! You were pretty awesome yourself.

Now that the subject has been brought up, I have to report that it looks as though HER2support.org WILL NOT have a booth/representation this year. The deadlines for signing up have passed.

The decision is in the hands of the Druther daughters and they seem to have other priorities at this time.

Paula, if you (or anyone else) wish to go as an individual, you need to register as a Patient Advocate and get a hotel room ASAP. I have info on hotels, etc. if you email me.

I feel Joe would want us to continue going, but it is not my decision. If I could get out of my back/leg problem I would go, but I have no way to foresee how I will feel by that time.

Thanks for the input, Laurel and StephN. Recently I made arrangements to go and would love to connect with others from here who also attend if that works out. Are you going, Sassy, Becky, or anybody else?
Paula

Does anyone have a username and password to download the 2012 SABCS abstracts book in pdf form?

Many thanks,

It will be available in January to all:

2012 SABCS abstracts, posters, slides, and webcasts of oral presentations will be made available online to non-attendees January 1, 2013.

At this time, SABCS plans to keep all of the above available on line for 3 years.

Yes, although I'd like to access the abstracts sooner if possible. I need to make a decision on denosumab. Thanks.
