request for prayer
It seems to be my time for prayer requests.
A very close friend fell off of a silo today, about 15 feet onto concrete. He has numerous injuries, and of course the brain is our main concern. Not much hope was given initially, but we just had a small bit of good news. These small bits help us to keep the faith. Please pray for Zane. He has four children at home and a lot of living still to do. He is a strong and good man, and I feel that with prayers lifting him up, he can make it through. The next two to three days are the most critical. God with us. Emmanuel. |

Sassafrass, prayers are coming and I am lacing them with lots of love and healing energy. Looks like tonight I will have more than my usual amounts of candles burning! Tonights agenda is special since so many people are in need of special prayers. So My Dear, prayer request heard and it is my honor to be able to give back to you. In those prayers, of course, will include wonderous ones for you too! Love you>>Believe51

Thank you all for your prayers. Zane has made it this far, very small steps toward recovery each day. This weekend is another critical period. They feel that if he makes it thru the weekend, he has a good chance of survival. What his mental state will be is still and unknown. They will begin gradually easing his sedation to check response.
We pray for continued healing and a restoration of mind and soul. |
Sass, you and Zane and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. I don't know what else to say other than that.

Just to give you an update....
No doubt prayer has uplifted Zane and his family. Zane is now in rehab--though not getting acute care that he needs because of----you guessed it----INSURANCE. We thank God that he is physically recovering very well, and is cognitively recovering well also. Every day sees significant improvement--but he still has a long road ahead. Dealing with his frustration may be the hardest thing. An internist who has followed Zane's case since he was brought to the hospital told the family that on the day of his arrive this notation was made on his chart: "Not expected to survive. If he does survive, there will be nothing." I guess God and Zane had a different plan, and we continue to pray for a complete recovery. We all know miracles from this board, and now we have witnessed a miracle in Zane. In God, all things are possible. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. |
That is so wonderful.
Suggestions from a head-injury survivor: Be as active as possible. Physical activity improves cognitive function. Our nervous system has ways to bypass, reconnect, even grow new cells. Will keep him in our prayers. |
