dale ---------> Roy Rogers
Dale, of course being Dale Evans. (Brenda: I'm only 49 and a half. I skipped a year in school. Not because I was smart or anything, I think it had more to do with the principal getting tired of me.) |

Like I said, I am counting on 50 being the new 48 or even better, the new 42! I liked 48, but 42 was the best of the 40s. |

Redbone -----------> Tuba
Leon Redbone was a ragtime musician who had a tuba player. Makes you wonder what happens to tuba players after they are no longer in their marching band. |
I think about that all the time Lee.
|
Pink Girl:
And you should think about that all the time. Tuba players practice their instruments as hard as anyone else. They buy an expensive tuba. They work their way through highschool, playing in the marching band at halftime where only their parents watch, everyone else going to one of the two restrooms to take a pee. If they are good, they go to college and march in the band, lugging a heavy tuba around, which only gets heavier as it fills with spit, with only their parents in the stand, everyone else going to one of four restrooms to take a pee. And when they graduate, they get to compete for one of the two professional tuba jobs in the planet. (There used to be three before Leon Redbone retired.) So they sit in their apartments, alone at night, practicing for the long awaited tuba revival which never comes as their next door neighbors throw shoes against the wall and their downstairs neighbor pounds on his ceiling with a broom handle. Can you think of anything more bleak and pathetic. Where were these people's parents when they started down this slippery slope? I'm just saying.......... |
Exactly Lee.... just what I've been thinking.
