I had joint pain from Herceptin. Was always still and sore after each treatment for the year. But the good thing is, when the chemo and mono therapy is over, so will the pain. Hope she finds some relief. By the way, they have to know how it's mixed as they do it there or the hospital pharmacy!

In case this comes up again, the "alcohol" is benzyl alcohol. It is the alcohol of the devil, IMO. It does horrible things to newborn babies (so they no longer use it), but medical science seems to think it's just fine for us big folks.

I blame the worsening of my cognitive deficits on benzyl alcohol, because I saw the progression every three weeks. I think it has something to do with the NMDA receptors, but that particular research is a little fuzzy in my head.

Horrible stuff, for some of us. If you can avoid it, do so.
