Dear Dawn...Im sorry to hear your news. In my case, I was stage IV about a month or so after they told me I was stage IIB, but that was only because I hadn't had a full body scan yet. Im sure that my liver met was there the whole time. In all honesty, I had a double mastectomy as fast as I could get in, because I was scared out of my wits. Im not saying necessarily that is what you should do, just that is what I did. A second opinion is always a good idea, at least in my eyes. You can never have too much information on this disease...its sneaky and I hate it so much I would have to be two people to hate it any more. Im sending lots of prayers and positive energy to you.
