I had the same problem. When they did the dye test the port showed no problem. Doc did say that I had a "wiggler" Funny description I know. My port does wiggle a bit and this can cause the needle to go a little to the side, allowing meds to go in but no blood return. Now that the Nurses know this they keep it steady when they hook me up. Problem solved - thank god! My last port flipped over backwards so this is my second port. Since I will be on Herceptin indefinitely (whatever that means) anything concerning my port makes me nervous. Hope it all works out for you
