LBBC Volunteers Needed in a City Near You!

LBBC has joined the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace payroll deduction giving program. The CFC promotes and supports philanthropy that is employee focused, cost-efficient and effective in providing the opportunity to improve the quality of life for those in need. For the first time ever, federal employees can now support LBBC by designating #78012 on their CFC pledge card.

Because LBBC is new to the campaign, we need to introduce ourselves to potential donors so they know how they can support our mission of empowering all women affected by breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. We seek volunteers to represent us at CFC charity fairs and speaking opportunities around the country. We are thrilled to offer this national volunteer opportunity to people across the U.S.!
We are currently looking for volunteers in these areas:

Washington, DCPhoenix, AZSan Diego, CAFt. Walton Beach, FLHonolulu, HISt. Louis, MONew York, NYCincinnati, OHFort Sill-Lawton, OKChattanooga, TNHouston, TXNorfolk, VA

Sarita’s Story: Traveling: A Simple Pleasure
“Since I was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer in 2005, I have thankfully recovered. But I credit my recovery to my rejuvenated approach to living beyond my diagnosis.

I recently decided to take a different approach to maintaining my health that has an active role in the management of this disease. I have altered my habits. I have even entered a ‘biggest loser’ makeover contest at my local fitness center. I am eating more fruits and vegetables and have cut a lot of sugar from my diet. I have incorporated an exercise regime as part of my daily routine. I am losing weight, trimming my waist and thighs and feeling energized!”
