So many of us are unable to travel to Joe's Services, so please take the time to sign his guestbook, then Christine can get a copy and know what he meant to each of us and the breast cancer community.

Thank you, Sheila. I enjoyed the group photos on the site. Thank you for an opportunity to sign the guest book. Who would ever think that our Hero would be struck down by an "unkind relative" of the BC world. I am sorry that Joe and his family had to endure this. I really miss knowing that he is out there. I hope that he is hearing our prayers.

Catherine, I just wanted to tell you and everyone else here on the site, that I was informed by the medical examiner that while Dad did have stage 3 lung cancer, he actually passed away from a heart attack. It's almost this strange bittersweet victory that it wasn't the cancer that took his life. That stupid disease never got its chance to win!

Hi everyone -
Those photos were not on the guestbook when I entered my bit.
They were taken last December at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. Maybe Sheila contributed those. I am in two of them, so I know when it was.
We had a great group there and Joe, as you can see, was in his element.

Hi, Stephanie! I actually added those pictures yesterday. They're going to be used in the memorial slides at the viewing this evening. I figured showing Daddy's life wouldn't be 110% accurate if I didn't include some nice HER2 advocacy shots too! They were on Dad's laptop, and my sister's boyfriend was able to find them and pull them up for us. I hope it'll be nice for all of you to know that there's at least a little HER2 Support Group presence in his memorial tonight.

Thanks for posting the link & for the opportunity to sign Joe's guestbook. Still in mourning for this great man --I just hope he knew how much he meant to so many of us. Like so many of you, this site was such a lifeline to me during my darkest hours- I will be forever grateful
