Just noticed in your signature - "...when menopausal status confirmed" Was it confirmed by blood test?

[I'm still waiting for the notice of the date of my surgery. My family doctor had told me last week to get a 'second opinion'. But the 'On-call Nurse' I talked to today (I was trying to find out who the '2nd opinion doctor should be - another doctor in the same institute or a specialist somewhere else) told me that the gynecology/oncologist who had agreed to my request of the surgery is 'the expert' on the stuff. She didn't think this expert would have send me to the surgeon just because 'I' had requested for it (out of my paranoia? :)]
