She is taking a bit of needed downtime but she asked me to let everyone know she sends her love and appreciation... she is just in that no-man's land of grief and taking each day as it comes.

I think Brenda is right. Marie may need a break to be sad, rest, adjust to all the changes in her life, and do whatever she needs to do. She probably will drop by for a visit when she is ready.
As long as she is well that is the main thing.
