Hercepton x 1week vs 3week and muga score

Hi Everyone,

I really want to bring up my Muga from 48 to at least 50 so I can get excepted in a vaccine study. I have until April.

Does anyone know of any research that shows taking Herceptin every week vs every three weeks makes a difference in heart function?

Also know of any meds that may help( I am on Enalapril 5mg)

Hi Alice,
I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. I don't have a specific link to 1 week vs every 3 weeks, but that is the reason my onc put me on weekly. His statement was, "Herceptin is less toxic to the heart in weekly doses." I have 2 more doses and my score has fallen 10 points, but he isn't too concerned about it. Mainly because I am so close to being finished!

Thanks Terri, I will ask my onc when I go this month. I am going to be on Herceptin for years I think. I join the gym this weekend and am using my CPAP regularly in hopes of making a positive change.

Good luck on your 2 more doses. Your score should pop back up when your done. Keep us informed.

Have tried using coq10 suppliment? It might increase the heart function.
